Book Tour Launch for
Every Serengeti Sunrise
By Rula Sinara
Note from the Author
Hello everyone and thank you so much for popping by my launch tour for the latest book in my ‘From Kenya, With Love’ series for Harlequin Heartwarming! Every Serengeti Sunrise officially releases December 5th (ebook format Dec 1st) but you’ll be able to get a sneak peek at excerpts and reviews during this tour. You’ll also get the opportunity to be entered in my tour giveaway (details below)!
For those of you who are new to my ‘From Kenya, With Love’ series, it’s romance set predominantly in Africa’s ‘outback’, specifically the wilds of Kenya’s savannah and Masai Mara. The setting is reminiscent of the movie ‘Out of Africa’, only it takes place in current times and includes themes of anti-poaching and elephant rescue. I like to think of the books as love stories with the added layers and lives of family and friends that give each book a true-to-life feel. Although each book stands alone (and may be enjoyed alone), the stories are linked, giving the series a saga-like continuity.
Every Serengeti Sunrise takes place about fifteen years after the third book, allowing readers to see the children who stole their hearts in the first three books all grown up and struggling to find their soul mates. In fact, in Every Serengeti Sunrise, you’ll find spunky, lovable Pippa who was raised by her veterinarian mother on a rustic research camp in Kenya in The Promise of Rain, introverted Maddie who suffered from traumatic mutism after her mother’s tragic death in After the Silence and noble, protective Haki, a serious ‘little-man’ even as a child raised alongside Pippa…all caught in a heartbreaking love-triangle as adults. We did get a glimpse of them as older kids in the third book, Through the Storm, and getting to dig into their psychological and emotional development as adults has been incredible for me as a writer. I’ve known these characters all their lives and watching them grow up is akin to a parent watching their children journey through life’s ups and downs.
Of course, in a love triangle, someone always ends up with their heart broken. But wait, Harlequin romances promise a happy ever after, right? Yes, they do, and love really does find a way, which is why I couldn’t leave readers hanging! Book five, The Twin Test (May 2018), picks up the pieces and, though it’s quite the test, shows readers that when it comes to heartbreak or trauma in life, true love really can conquer all.
I hope you enjoy this book (and series)! I’m currently working on book 6 and you can find out more about all of my books and sign up for my newsletter at www.RulaSinara.com. In fact, you can also find links to A Heartwarming Thanksgiving, a Harlequin Heartwarming collection of short Thanksgiving romances, including mine, The Sweetheart Tree, which is also connected to my ‘From Kenya, With Love’ series.
Wishing you all Peace & Love this holiday season and always,
– Rula
Elephants, Africa’s wild savannah and three best friends…
When attorney Maddie Corallis returns to Kenya to fight a humanitarian vs animal rights case, the last thing she expects is for her childhood friend, wildlife veterinarian Haki Odaba, to be the very man she’s up against. Loyal and protective, Haki would never turn his back on the elephants he’s devoted to saving, any more than Maddie could abandon the native tribes she’s come to protect. An impossible battle…but nothing compared to the fight they face when old feelings surface and the soul-deep connection they’ve always shared threatens the worst kind of betrayal...that of their dearest friend Pippa. The one Haki is expected to marry.
Denying their feelings is torture, but giving in is not an option. Not with the suffering it would cause. Besides, Maddie left Kenya once and she’ll be leaving again soon. An ocean, a case and a friend between them. Maybe love can’t always find a way…or can it?
