Note from the Author
Welcome to the tour for SWEET HOME ALASKA. If you read AN ALASKA PROPOSAL, you might remember Volta, Leith’s sister. This is her story. Although part of the Northern Lights series, all the books are stand-alone, so feel free to jump in anywhere.
Volta is a survivor. Years ago, Scott Willingham broke her heart when chose his career over their relationship. She picked herself up and married someone else, only to be left alone and pregnant when her husband died in an avalanche. But she survived and thrived. She’s raising a daughter she adores, working at a job she loves as a flight EMT, and living a sweet life in Alaska. At least until Scott shows up.
Scott doesn’t regret the sacrifices he’s made in order to be able to travel around the world with Doctors, Education and Medicine for All, providing medical care to those in need. But, try as he might, he’s never been able to forget the woman he fell in love with. So when the opportunity arises to visit Alaska, he decides to look her up. Once he finds Volta and assures himself she’s happy, he’ll be able to let her memory go. At least that’s the plan.
Sometimes the best-laid plans go awry. And that’s when life gets interesting…

Once upon a time ...
when Beth Carpenter was a little girl, she read everything she could get her hands on, and entertained herself on the school bus by making up stories in her head. Not a lot has changed. She's still consuming books like M&Ms, and spends her days creating happily-ever-afters for her imaginary friends.
