Welcome back to Bluestone River, a prairie town in Northern Illinois. I had great fun writing Emma O’Connell’s story, especially after Parker Davis comes to town. Emma was thrilled when her best friends, Ruby Driscoll and Mike Abbot, found each other after twenty years, but Emma yearns for adventures of her own, despite relying on a cane to get around. She’s a supporter of the Hidden Lake Bird Sanctuary and its new—and appealing—director, Parker Davis, whose salary she funds.
